Since inception, Meritage has acquired approximately 3.7 million square feet of office space and 500 residential units primarily along the Boston to Washington, D.C. corridor. Our focus on a handful of dynamic and complementary metropolitan markets, combined with our intensely hands-on approach, reinforces the development of deep local market knowledge and the fostering of particularly close community relationships.

New Heights Intern Program
Meritage Properties actively supports New Heights Youth, Inc., an independent non-profit educational organization based in New York City. New Heights’ mission is to “educate and empower promising inner-city youth to be leaders, champions, and student-athletes by developing the skills necessary for success in high school, college and life.” We are proud to be associated with an organization that boasts a 100% high school graduation rate, 98% college matriculation rate and 75% college graduation rate since its formation 11 years ago. In late 2007, Meritage initiated a summer internship program for New Heights students offering 1-2 students each summer an opportunity to get practical work experience and better prepare for future professional careers. All of our past interns have graduated college and are currently employed in a variety of fields including education, finance, media, sports marketing, and insurance.
